Put Me In Coach, I’m Ready

Do you remember playing team sports when the coach locked eyes with you and called your name? That mix of adrenaline and purpose—“He needs me. Now.” It wasn’t random. A good coach knew what the team needed and believed you were the one to deliver.
This week, that same feeling stirred while driving and hearing Here I Am, Lord by Chris Bray. Listen below 👇.
It hit us like a divine halftime speech. What if God is calling your name? Right now. In your family. In your workplace. In your neighborhood.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here I am, Lord. Send me!’” Isaiah 6:8
God doesn’t need perfection. He’s just looking for willing hearts to say, “Put me in.” It may not mean moving across the world—it might just mean stepping up right where you are. Like any great coach, God:
Knows your skillset. He handcrafted you for this moment.
Sees the situation. He knows what the world around you needs.
Wants you in the game. Not someday. Today.
So here’s the challenge this week:
Are we paying attention to His voice?
Do we have the courage to say yes?
Are we willing to shift from our plans to His mission?
“We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about saying yes when the Spirit nudges. God doesn’t just call the qualified—He qualifies the called.
