Embrace the love of Christ this season—His birth, His promises, and the encouragement we find in Him and each other.
As we approach this Christmas season, we express our gratitude for the “Reason for the Season.” Jesus Christ was born on this Earth to the Virgin Mary for the US! We love this time of year and have many reasons to celebrate.
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord” Luke 2:11
While we know this to be true and celebrate the birth of our Savior, we also acknowledge that not all of us are feeling the “Christmas Cheer” right now. We were reminded this past week that many guys are struggling. Relationships, health, financial, and spiritual battles that are REAL. The enemy is willing to do anything to try and separate us from our Lord. In tough times, we need to remember that we are promised that we can NEVER be separated from the LOVE of GOD!
“Neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39
If you are struggling right now, we want to encourage you. Surround yourself with other guys who lift you up, are positive influences, and are willing to take time to support you. If you are doing well right now, praise God for that. We challenge you to harness that feeling and find ways to pour into other men.
During challenging times, we find it helpful to focus on the “End Goal.” Ultimately, the prize is worth it, no matter what we go through here on Earth.
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12 NIV
Guys, we can do it! One step forward each day. God has promised us that he won’t leave us and has given us the ultimate example of sacrifice on Earth! Take a moment this morning and sit in silence for just ONE MINUTE. Reflect on JESUS being born as MAN on this Earth, but fully God. Brought to the cross, humiliated, broken, and left ALONE. He could have stopped it all, but he PERSEVERED so that every US can have the opportunity to spend eternity in HEAVEN. In this minute of quiet, listen to what God is telling you…what does he want YOU to do today, this week, this upcoming year? God made each one of us for HIS PURPOSE! That means that he has something in mind for every one of us, EVERY DAY.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing” John 15:5
Guys, despite what we might think…we can’t do it alone. We need the power of the Holy Spirit; we need other Christian Men working in our lives. Let’s not let our Pride get in the way of God’s work. Join us for our daily devotional studies. Contact us if we can help or if you want to talk. Surrender to our Lord and Savior, and allow HIM to work on us daily.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one MAN sharpens another” Proverbs 27:17
Have a great day, gents. We appreciate you, are praying for you, and are excited about the good things God has in store for each of us.
